Ensto Cubo O plastic enclosures installed at Leh (Ladakh), India.
Our plastic enclosing solutions can now be found in a photovoltaic installation located in Ladakh, India.
Ladakh is a cold, remote, high-altitude desert in India’s northernmost state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), often befittingly referred to as 'paradise on earth' due to its breathtaking beauty. Conditions in the region can be considered less heavenly, with temperatures ranging from an extreme -28◦C in winter to +33◦C during the very short summers.
Many areas in Ladakh remain wholly cut off from the rest of the country due to unavailability of electricity. For these communities, solar power has emerged as a bright new hope. In the latest rooftop PV installation carried out for Jammu & Kashmir Bank in Leh (Ladakh), Ensto Cubo O enclosures were chosen for AJB’s & MJB’s application. The design work was carried out by Onexis Automation. The key challenge for the customer was to find an enclosure that can withstand the extreme temperature conditions of Ladakh’s desert climate. Ensto Cubo O – developed in Finland to operate in rugged Arctic conditions – stood out with flying colours as the clear choice.
